Sovereign Saddlery Products Description

Sovereign Saddlery saddles are all built by proven traditional methods; methods that have created saddles that have stood the test of time in generations gone by.

They are made using Australian made wood & steel plated trees, strained up with English flax seat webbing and have sole leather bellies, hand skived, tacked and shaped to form the base of the seat. The knee pads are also formed from layered sole leather, hand skived, tacked and belted into shape. Seats are padded with foam and felt for comfort.

The knee pads are double hand sewn with heavy hand rolled waxed threads to secure them to either the flaps or to a leather backing plate attached to the tree, depending on which model.  Many models also have the extra strength of a heavy duty stainless steel angled bar inside of them, bolted to the head of the tree.

Knee pad covers and seats are double hand sewn with hand rolled and waxed threads and are seamed using hand made leather welts.

All leather components are individually hand cut and hand skived, and double hand sewn where it really counts.

Stock fender saddles have full leather stirrup leathers. Stirrup leathers are hung on stirrup bars and provide excellent swing of the fenders.  The fenders are not only riveted to the stirrup leathers but also sewn for double strength.

These are individually made hand crafted saddles, finished to  a finesse of which you will be proud.
